PTGP NITE #2 -11/28/2009......Around 30 cars signed in for the $3000 to win event and the same format as nite #1 was followed. For the 2nd nite in a row Chris had overall fast time and locked in for the feature pole.As it happens so many times in racing the fortunes turned the wrong way tonite. On lap 16 restart Chris was running 2nd when the car started having engine problems and a few laps later mechanical problems ended the Intimagators run and sent him to the infield.
PTGP NITE #1......31 cars signed in and were divided into 3 groups for qualifying with the top 4 in each group locking into the feature.Chris had fast time and started on the pole for the feature. He lost the lead briefly but raced his way back to the point and took the checkered flag for the victory.Saturday nite will be a complete new show.
LET'S RACE SOME MORE-11/27/2009..........A last minute decision was reached by Intimagator Racing to compete in the Possum Town Grand Prix races this weekend. The events are $2000 to win tonite and $3000 to win Saturday nite. The end of the year stats will be updated after these 2 races are completed.
JAMBALAYA 100 RECAP-11/15/2009......Pike County Speedway at Magnolia,Ms. was the scene of the 2009 SUPR series sanctioned Jambalaya 100. A healthy field of around 30 super lates signed in for the event.SUPR decided to skip their normal draw for heat position and passing points scoring for the feature start. Instead the cars were divided into 4 groups with qualifying and heat racing inside your group with no qualifying lock ins. Chris was overall fast time and gained a pole for heat #1 and had a comfortable margin to win the heat for a feature pole.SUPR also added another twist with a 50 lap fuel stop for the cars running alcohol. At the drop of the feature Kenny Merchant gave the word "pressure" a new meaning as he dogged the gatorman lap after lap until a tire issue forced him pitside early in the race. It was obvious early that the Wall2Wall powered Stuckey's prepared MasterSbilt was gonna be the car to beat as Chris was pulling to almost straight away leads after every caution. I cannot give you the exact caution count for the race but every time Chris got into seriously lapping traffic a caution would bunch the field back up and he would have to stretch the lead out again. Chris crossed under the checkers with a 5 second margin over 2nd place. Chris done the hat trick with a fast time award, a heat win, and a 100 lap flag to flag victory. This was a bitter sweet victory for Wall and Company as they had never won this big event at their home track........When you got over 200 cars at an event there is usually gonna be parking problems if you dont have a pit space reserved for the year. The Intimagator Race Team was facing this problem but up stepped Scott Jackson owner of the #5 and #18 street stocks. Scott showed what class is all about as he let Chris and crew park in one of his spaces all weekend and the team is very appreciative of this gesture.....Special congrats to 2009 champion Kenny Merchant on his SUPR title and a tremendous come back from the rear for a 4th place finish in the Jambalaya 100. Congrats to Anthony Burroughs for also a rear to 5th run. Congrats to Ronnie Rogers and Wall2Wall Performance Engines for capturing 1st,4th,and 5th place finishes in this event.Congrats to Pike County Speedway for having one of the best car counts ever and a totally successful Jambalaya 100. Special thanks to da man Tony and his wife for the cooking of the jambalaya and all the other excellent foods prepared........This should be the Intimagator Race Team's last event of 2009 and i will post a season recap soon.
COTTON PICKIN 100 RECAP-11/7/2009......60 super lates signed in for the $15,000 to win Cotton Pickin 100 at Magnolia Motor Speedway. The cars were divided into 6 groups with qualifying and racing inside your group with no lock-ins on times. Chris timed 3rd in his group which had 2nd fastest overall time for the 2nd heat. The gatorman mashed the loud pedal on the Wall2Wall spec and won his heat for an outside pole beside Billy Moyer. Ronnie Lee Hollingsworth got the early lead put Chris took the point and had lapped up to 10th by around half way until Moyer took the lead around lap 60 after a caution and led the remaining laps. Chris made it exciting at the checkered flag but for the 3rd year in a row came up 1 spot shot for a second place. For the 2nd time in the last 3 years this race was marred by contraversy. Chris had reported to track tech officials and to track promoter Johnny Stokes that Moyer's spoiler was too tall for the open engine package that he was running and no action was taken. One of the Intimagator Racing crew members measured it in victory lane and said it was in fact 9 inches tall instead of the allowed 8 inches on the open engine package. You can bet that if Chris had won the race and something on his spec package was not in tollerance, his victory woulda been thrown out. Next tentative action will be the Jambalaya 100 scheduled for 11/13-14/2009 at Pike County Speedway-Magnolia,Ms.
15TH ANNUAL FALL CLASSIC RECAP 10/25/2009 .....60 super latemodels signed in for the Fall Classic held at Whynot Motorsports Park. Long time friend Kenny Merchant suffered engine failure in hot laps and Chris quickly unloaded the back-up car for him to use for the weekend and this helped Kenny to a 13th place finish.Chris qualified in group #6 and had 4th fastest time for a 4th place start in heat #3. Chris was making a move for the lead when the bottom car came up the track and knocked Chris into another car . Chris shook it off and still finished 2nd in his heat for a 9th place feature start. Feature time got off to a bad start. Whether it was tires or set-up i do not know but the gatorman went backwards very fast and pitted for adjustments. The pit stop helped some as Chris was working his way back toward the front when he tried passing a car on the back stretch and got squeezed into the wall ending his nite with a 17th place finish.. Although this was not a good weekend for the race team it was a fantastic weekend for some times Wall protegee Ronny Lee Hollingsworth as he won the Fall Classic which was his biggest carreer victory. The Intimagator Race Team are scheduled for the Cotton Pickin 100 next weekend at Magnolia Motor Speedway-Columbus,Ms. This was scheduled to be the last event of the year but the team has decided to run the SUPR sanctioned Jambalaya 100 at Pike County Speedway on November 13th and 14th. --------------------------------
FALL CLASSIC TUNE-UP RECAP 10/18/2009 ....... A very good field on over 26 cars signed in for the test and tune pre-Fall Classic event at Whynot Motorsports Park. Chris won qualifying and the heat #2 race for an outside feature pole. The gatorman finished 2nd in the feature but more important hopefully gained what extra track knowledge he needed for next weekends big event.------------------------------
FALL CLASSIC TUNE-UP RACE 10/15/2009 ....Chris has decided to run the tune-up race at Whynot Motorsports Park on Saturday 10/15. He could not make last weekends event so this will give him some track time for next weekends big event.----------------------------------
LUCAS OIL TRIPLE HEADER SCRATCHED 10/8/2009 .....Too much chance of rain this weekend so Chris has cancelled racing plans for the Lucas Oil tripleheader. Next scheduled action will be the Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park on 10/23 and 10/24. ------------------------------
MAGNOLIA STATE 100 RECAP 9/28/2009 .....Twas a very wild weekend for Chris Wall and crew at the M.S. 100 at Columbus Speedway. 69 cars signed in Friday nite and were divided into 6 groups for qualifying and heat racing against their group. The gatorman had a respectable 2nd quick time for an outside front row star but knew he had fuel problems and took parts off the backup car before the heat. A good competitive battle saw Chris leading heat #3 but contact was made with another racer and he actually lost 2 spots to 3rd. Chris put the pedal down and retook the lead before the checkered fell for a heat win and a 3rd place feature start. Saturday's race program was cancelled becuse of too wet grounds and that portion was shifted to Sunday. The 100 lap feature saw the Intimagator running in the top 5 until lap 42 when he smacked the wall and damaged the rear spoiler. 5 pit stops later and completely without a rear spoiler Chris crossed under the checkers with a very respectable 9th place finish which was very good considering the pit stops and spoiler damage and eventual spoiler loss. Next scheduled action for Intimagator Racing will be the Lucas Oil sanctioned triple header scheduled for October 9th-10th-11th on the eastern swing.------------------------------
WORLD 100 RECAP 9/17/2009 ....Around 175 cars timed in at the World 100 with each car getting 1 lap at 2 different times. First qualifying lap for Chris was all trouble as he brushed the wall and was 102nd in time. The 2nd qualifing lap was a very quick 12th fastest time..... The fastest time drew a 6 invert so instead of starting on the front row of heat #6, Chris was moved back to a 5th place start. From there the optimism hit rock bottom as a first lap melee caught Chris in it and ended his nite and his World 100 dream for another year. Next scheduled action for Intimagator Racing will be the Magnolia State 100 on September 25th and 26th at Columbus Speedway-Columbus,Ms..---------------------
EARL BALTES CLASSIC AT ELDORA SPEEDWAY 9/7/2009 ....65 cars signed in for the 30 lap-$3,000 to win ALMS sanctioned event. The cars were divided into 6 groups with 1 lap qualifying and running heat races against your group with a 4 invert of times. Chris was fastest time in his group and started 4th in the heat. He had worked his way to 2nd by lap 7 of the 8 lap heat when caution flew on the last lap. Chris was penalized and moved back 2 spots to restart the last lap because of passing before the flagstand on a previous restart. The gatorman hammered the Wall2Wall and passed for 3rd and a transfer spot to the feature. Unfortunately 6 laps into the 2nd B-main the rains came. Track officials made efforts to get the track back raceable but rain came again and the race was cancelled and will not be made up. The Intimagator Race team will stay at Eldora Speedway as Joey Logano will drive the Home Depot decorated dirt late model of Chris Wall in the Prelude Wednesday and the World 100 statind with pre-race inspection Thursday and qualifying starting on Friday finishing with the 100 lap feature on Saturday.----------------------------------
SOUTHERN ALL STARS AT MAGNOLIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY 8/31/2009 ....Do fellow regional competitors really want Chris Wall to run an open engine package?????On a nite when rains had made the normally "black ice" of Magnolia Motor Speedway tackier than it has ever been,Chris Wall forsaked his spec engine for the 50 lap Southern All Stars sanctioned event. 30 cars signed in for qualifying with the top 10 times locking into the feature. The gatorman shattered the previous track record by .45 seconds to win the pole for the feature. Attrition was rough on tires but after the 50 laps were done Chris had won his 12th feature and recorded his 24th top 5 finish of 2009. Next scheduled action for Intimagotor Racing will be the ALMS race scheduled at Eldora Speedway on 9/6/2009.------------------------------
LUCAS OIL REDEMPTION AT BLUEGRASS SPEEDWAY 8/29/2009 ...Life certainly has not been real good around the Intimagator Racing camp as of late. After being branded a tire "CHEATER" by the national media Chris Wall had 2 choices. He could hide his face and not face the public scrutiny or he could bounce back and continue to run Lucas Oil events and hope that his finishes would show that he made a mistake at the Topless 100 and could be competitive on the up and up. The 2nd option was the choice. 51 cars signed in at Bluegrass Speedway at Bardstown,Kentucky for a 60 lap Lucas Oil sanctioned event. The cars were divided into 2 groups for qualifying and Chris was 3rd fastest in his group for after the inversion an outside pole. Gatorman hammered the Wall2Wall powered Stuckeys MasterSbilt and won the first heat for a feature pole. The race went all 60 laps caution free and Chris finished 2nd to Ray Cook for a very good showing.Probably the biggest news to come out of the Wall camp was conformation that Chris has committed to run the Lucas Oil series for points in 2010 and will qualify for the Rookie of the Year program. The team will now head south for a SAS event scheduled for 8/30/2009 at Magnolia Motor Speedway-Columbus,Ms.--------------------------
RAIN WINS MARS/UMP EVENT AT PADUCAH 8/29/2009 .....35 cars signed in for the MARS/UMP challenge race at Paducah International Raceway. The passing points system was used and the cars divided into 4 heats. Chris was in heat #2 and had a great battle with the leader and finally made the pass coming out of turn 4 going to the checkered flag. Heats 3 and 4 were run but then the rain came and washed out the rest of the nite. The Intimagator crew had to spend the nite at PIR anyway for the Joey Logano practice session today. The race will be concluded on September 18th. The Logano practice session well today the team will run the Lucas Oil event at Bluegrass Speeway tonite.-----------------------------
JOEY LOGANO DRIVIN THE #71 IN THE PRELUDE 8/28/2009 ...Most probably thought that Intimagator Racing changed their scheduled Lucas Oil event at Lawrenceburg Speedway-Lawrenceburg,In. because of the recent penalties imposed on the race team for the Topless 100 tire incident. Actually the reason could not be released until it was certain but the team changed to a MARS/UMP event at Paducah International Raceway for a totally different reason.Current driver of the Joe Gibbs Racing #20 Joey Logano will drive the #71 of Chris Wall at the Prelude at Eldora Speedway preceding the World 100 in a couple of weeks. Joey flew into Paducah Saturday morning and had a closed track practice session at Paducah getting some much needed seat time in the C & M Gator Farm ride. The practice session went real well and both car owner and driver feel they will be competitive at the Prelude on Wednesday September 9th.----------------------------
BSS AT MOULTON &SCHEDULE UPDATE 8/23/2009 I don't have a lot of details but the gatorman added another victory to the 2009 season at Moulton Speedway. The team competed in the leg of a Bama Super Series doubleheader.....Intimagator Racing has made a schedule change for the weekend of 8/28-29-30. The Lucas Oil event at Lawrenceburg Speedway on 8/28 has been scratched and a MARS event at Paducah International Raceway has been added instead. Chris has an appointment in Paducah Saturday morning and if all goes well he is still planning on running the Lucas Oil event at Bluegrass Speeday that same nite time allowing. The team has also added a Southern All Star event at Magnolia Motor Speedway-Columbus,Ms. on 8/30/2009. ----------------------------
BAMA SUPER SERIES AT NORTH ALABAMA SPEEDWAY 8/22/2009 Threatening skies kept the car count down but enough sined in for a full field. Chris had fast qualifying time and locked in for a feature pole. An early "loose" siyuation dropped him down as far as 7th and he had to work his way back to the front. Chris caught the leader by half way but could not make the pass for the lead and took home a second place finish. Tonite action shifts to Moulton Speedway for a 50 lap event.-----------------
GATOR GOES TOPLESS [100] 8/16/2009 Wall and Company travelled to Batesville Motor Speedway for the Lucas Oil sanctioned Topless 100. Chris had not been able to make the starting field in previous visits but after Thursday nites practice he felt good about his chances.68 slms signed in and were divided into 2 groups for qualifying. The C & M gator machine was 6th fastest in group #1 and 7th fastest overall for an outside pole in heat #3. Competition was tough as Chris dropped back to 4th but rallied for a 2nd place heat finish and 11th place feature start. Chris held his own and was running 8th on lap 56 when a flat sent him pitside for repairs. Back out and tagging the rear the gatorman still showed some tennacity and finished 10th in the rundown.---------------------
USA NATIONALS RECAP 8/2/2009 ...The prelude to the USA Nationals was a 50 lap WDRL race at Cedar Lake Speedway. 66 cars signed in and timed against the whole field. The 28 fastest times were inverted in 7 heats with the fatest time starting 4th and the 4th fastest starting on the pole. Chris was 27 quick time and started on the pole of heat #1. A 2nd place finish gave Chris an 18th place feature start. The gatorman only finished 14th but keep in mind this was a test and tune session for tonites qualifying and heats for the 100 lap USA Nationals.---------------------------

MSCCS AT CENTRAL MS. SPEEDWAY 7/28/2009 Wall and Company competed at Central Ms. Speedway-Winona Ms. last nite in a 50 lap MSCCS sanctioned event. 21 cars signed in for qualifying. Track conditions were kinda greasy for hot laps and the gatorman decided to skip this session. Chris was overall fastest in the qualifying session for a Dash pole that he also won for a feature pole. After some close competition and several cautions the checkered flag flew on the C & M Gator Farm,Wall2Wall powered Stuckeys MasterSbilt for his season leading 6th MSCCS victory and 31st overall in series competition. The Intimagator Race Team will begin prep for the long trip from Springfield,La. to Cedar Lake Speedway-New Richmond,Wisconsin for a 7/30 Thursday nite 50 lap WDRL sanctioned event and the 100 lap USA Nationals beginning Friday the 31st......--------------------------

MSCCS VICTORY #30 7/19/2009 ....In the short period of 5 years and 4-1/2 months that Chris Wall has been competing in the MSCCS, he has left a mark that many wonder if it will ever be challenged. Intimagator Racing competed at Whynot Motorsports Park last nite in a 50 lap MSCCS sanctioned event. 30 cars qualified and the gatorman had fastest overall time for a dash pole for the fastest 8 times that would determine their feature starting position. The dash was all yellow and green as the 71 won it for the feature pole. 50 laps later MSCCS victory #30 was in the record books.Next scheduled action for Intimagator Racing will be on 7/23 at a SNS event at Cleveland Speedway-Cleveland,Tn.,7/24 at a SNS event at Volunteer Speedway-Bulls Gap, Tn., and 7/25 at a SAS event at Talladega Short Track-Talladega,Al........ ----------------
USA NATIONALS PRESS RELEASE 7/13/2009 ....Weekend action for Intimagator Racing started Friday nite at North Alabama Speedway-Tuscumbia,Al. competing in a Lucas Oil sanctioned event. 35 cars signed in and were divided into 2 groups for qualifying. Chris was 4th fastest in his group which was also 4th fastest overall. The gatorman started on the pole for heat #2 and finished 3rd for an 11th place feature start. Who knows what happens in racing as a "no passing zone" saw only Bloomquist and Blankenship pass any cars as most finished where they started in the 40 lap event with Chris finishing where he started in 11th...... The race team headed south for the 2nd nite of the Lucas Oil doubleheader that was held at Magnolia Motor Speedway-Columbus Ms. A very healthy field of 47 cars entered the event and were divided into 2 groups for qualifying. Chris was on top of his game plan and set fastest overall qualifying time for a heat pole but missed the setup for the heat and finished 4th for a 14th place feature start. The gatorman was patient and passed cars lap after lap and by lap 17 was already running 5th. On lap 28 there was a furious battle between Wall,Owens,Oneal,McDowell and Bloomquist for positions 4-8th.With 2 laps to go Moyer was comfortably leading when Chris came out of no where and passed both 3rd place Casebolt and 2nd place Pearson and had caught Moyer on the checkered flag lap but ran out of laps. This is a quote from the Lucas Oil news release:"With one more lap Wall may have had the car to steal the win on the final lap but he settled for 2nd and the PBM/Erson Cams Hard Charger of the race". Special congrats to "Mr. Smooth" Billy Moyer on his astounding 710th career win. Special shout out to Stuckeys MasterSbilt and Wall2Wall Performance Engines and all sponsors for giving the gatorman the equipment to be competitive every week. Next tentative action for the Intimagator Racing Team will ne a MSCCS sanctioned event at Whynot Motorsports Park-Meridian,Ms. on 718/2009.--------------------------
LUCAS OIL DOUBLEHEADER RECAP 7/12/2009 ....Weekend action for Intimagator Racing started Friday nite at North Alabama Speedway-Tuscumbia,Al. competing in a Lucas Oil sanctioned event. MAGNOLIA FIRECRACKER 4 CROWN 7/5/2009 The 3rd event in the Firecracker Four Crown series of events was held at Magnolia Motor Speedway-Columbus,Ms. This was the Intimagator Racing Team's first visit to this facility this year and it ended in a 6th place finish for Chris. Sunday's event was cancelled due to projected rain so Chris ended up 3rd in the points for the mini series.Next scheduled action will be the Lucas Oil doubleheader at NAS and MMS on 7/10 and 7/11. ---------------------------
CMS FIRECRACKER 4 CROWN 7/4/2009 TheIntimagator Race team made the short haul down highway 82 from Greenville,Ms. to Winona,Ms. and Central Ms. Speedway. 32 slms signed in and were divided into 2 groups for qualifying. I guess it was racing fate but all 5 top five finishers from the previous nite found themselves in group #2. Not a problem as Chris sat fast time in group #2 and overall fast time for a lock in feature pole. 40 laps later the gatorman had achieved his 8th victory and 16th top 5 of 2009. The trip down highway 82 continues tonite at Magnolia Motor Speedway-Columbus,Ms. as the 3rd leg of the 4 crown will be ran. HAPPY 4TH of JULY from INTIMAGATOR RACING------------------------
GREENVILLE FIRECRACKER 4 CROWN 7/3/2009 Nite #1 of the Firecracker Four Crown was held at Greenville Speedway-Greenville,Ms. 26 cars signed in and were divided into 2 groups with the 5 fastest qualifiers in each group locking into the feature. Chris timed in 3rd fast in group #1 and srarted 5th in the feature. It looked for a while like the race was never gonna get an extended period of green flag racing as there were already 3 cautions by lap #5. Chris made very little passing progress and finished 4th in the feature. Niite #2 shifts to Central Ms. Speedway at Winona,Ms. tonite.-------------------
DOUBLE 8TH's 6/28/2009 Weekend action for Intimagator Racing started Frday nite at Paducah International Raceway-Paducah,Kentucky where the team competed in a UMP Summernational event. 41 cars signed in and were divided into 4 groups for qualifying. Chris was 2nd fast in his group but had 4th fastest overall time. A 2nd place finish in his heat earned him a 5th place feature start. Set-up was off for the feature and an 8th place finish was recorded at the checkered flag. The team then made the long haul back south for a SUPR sanctioned event at Pike County Speedway-Magnolia,Ms. 25 cars signed in for heat race action that utilized the passing points format. Chris started the 2nd row inside and on the drop of the green a front stretch mellee caught up the gatorman and almost destroyed the right front wheel assembly so Chris had to go to the pits with no laps completed in the heat. The crew worked feverously to replace the damage parts and get the car back for the last chance race. Chris proceeded to win the consi for a 17th place feature start. The gatorman hammered the Wall2Wall powered MasterSbilt and finished a very respectable 8th in a race that was shortened to 40 laps from 50 and on a locked down track. Next action for Intimagator Racing will be a 4 nites in a row race series called the Four Crown starting July 2nd at Greenville Speedway and finishing July 5th at Columbus Speedway.--------------------
HOW FAST DOES RACIN FATE CHANGE??? 6/21/2009 ....Racing action found Intimagator Racing at Byram,Ms. at Jackson Motor Speedway. 34 cars signed in and were divided into 2 groups for qualifying. Chris was assigned to group #2 but officials changed the grouping and changed some cars including Chris to group #1. Chris sat fast time and also won the 8 car dash for a feature pole. The C & M Gator Farm ride was in total domination very early in the race but as fate often has it that scenario quicky changed. Chris was lapping a car and spun out and was delegated to the rear. It was hammer down for the rest of the race and he crossed under the checkers in 6th place.Special congrats to fellow "cajun connection" member David Ashley on getting it done for the victory. Next scheduled action for Intimagator Racing will be a doubleheader starting Friday 6/26 at a UMP Summernational event at Paducah,Kentucky and Saturday 6/27 at a SUPR sanctioned event at Pike County Speedway-Magnolia,Ms.-------------------
GATORMAN CLAIMS MSCCS WIN #29 6/20/2009 What was thought to be an off weekend quickly changed as the race fever hit Chris and crew and they travelled to Greenville Speedway for a MSCCS sanctioned event. 27 slms signed in to battle the gumbo track and was divided into 2 groups for qualifying. Chris was not particularly impressive in qualifying with a 3rd quick time that put him starting 6th in the 8 car dash for feature starting positions.A 5th was the best he could muster in the dash and started in the same position in the feature. The driver they call the Intimagator methodically picked off cars until when he crossed under the checkers he had scored his 4th MSCCS victory to go along with a 2nd out of 5 starts this season. Last nites victory also pushed Chris to a series leading 29 since 2004 when he started racing with the MSCCS. The hauler had generator problems last nite so tonites plans are not sure. The team will probably race at a MSCCS sanctioned event at Jackson Motor Speedway.----------------------
LUCAS NO-SUPR YES 6/14/2009 The 3rd leg of the Lucas Oil triple header scheduled for Talladega Short Track was washed out early Saturday morning. The Intimagator Race team spent the nite at Shane Clanton's residence at Locust Grove, Georgia and got the news early from Shane. Immediately Ms. Wall started a make-up race search and a SUPR sanctioned event at Greenville,Ms. was the choice so the long haul was on. Chris started behind the 8 ball as he broke a rear caliper in hot laps but the crew made the replacement in time for the 4th heat. The Intimagator started 3rd in the heat and finished 3rd for a 12th place feature start. When the checkered flag had fallen on the Delta gumbo track Chris had worked his way to a 3rd place finish. After many long miles of travel the Intimagator Race team ended the weekend with their 7th Lucas start out of 10 chances that includes 3 top 5 finishes. The race team also made their 4th SUPR start that includes 2 victories,a 3rd, and a 5th. Congrats to Kenny Merchant on his win last nite and to Ray Moore on his 2nd place finish. The race team is scheduled to take next weekend off before making the haul to Paducah,Kentucky for a UMP Summernationals event on 6/26 and then catching a SUPR event at Pike County Speedway on 6/27.----------------------
LUCAS OIL at NORTH GEORGIA SPEEDWAY 6/12/2009 49 cars signed in for the Lucas Oil sanctioned event at North Ga. Speedway, Chris qualified in group A and was 7th fastest. Overall fast qualified Bloomquist spun a 4 invert and this put Chris on the pole for heat #1. A 2nd in the heat would give him a 5th place feature start. The gatorman could not hold his position and ended up 10th in the feature rundown. The team will travel to Tallagega Short Track for the 3rd leg of the Lucas Oil triple header Saturday nite.---------------------
LUCAS OIL at DUCK RIVER SPEEDWAY 6/12/2009 38 slms signed it at Duck River Speedway-Wheel,Tn. for a Lucas Oil sanctioned event. Chris had a real good qualifying effort that put him starting on the outside front row of his heat where he also finished 2nd for a 7th place feature start. 35 laps later the Intimagator had brought the Wall2Wall powered Stuckeys MasterSbilt home to a 3rd place checkered flag. Intimagator Racing will continue action tonite in the Lucas Oil series at North Ga. Speedway. I need to also give a big shout to Anthony Burroughs who won his heat race over Bloomquist and finished 5th in the feature with Wall2Wall power under the hood of his mastersbilt.---------------------
WORLD 100 RECAP 6/6/2009 Close to 120 cars signed in for the Dream 100 at Eldora Speedway. Thursday nite was practice nite as the Intimagator Race team got the car dialed in for Fridays qualifying rounds. Friday during hot laps the unexpected happened. The oil filter collapsed on a brand new engine and Chris had to go to the backup car for qualifying. The rules state there would be no test laps and the car would move to the rear of the qualifying order. Chris only managed almost a 90 th time on the first qualifying lap session but improved to a 60th time on the 2nd lap seesion. This time put him starting 10th in heat #6 where he finished 6th for an 18th place start in the b-main. The gator man gave it all he had for a 10th place finish and his weekend was done. Although the team did not make the feature as always they made new friends and really enjoyed the racing fellowship. Next tentative action for Intimagator Racing will be a Lucas Oil triple header starting Thurday 6/11 at Duck River Speedway,Friday at North Georgia, and Saturday at Talladega Short Track.--------------------
MSCCS VICTORY #28 5/31/2009 The week was a long one for the Intimagator Race Team. After getting home last Sunday from his 22nd place finish at the Show Me 100, Chris decided to race an event Sunday nite in Texas. A 5th place finish in a SUPR event at Lonestar Speedway Sunday nite had it's cost as a bent rear clip was discovered in Monday's inspection. This was the result of a back into the retaining wall during a heat race. Since this was the primary chassis, a trip to MasterSbilt in Indiana was in order for the rear clipping procedure. Chris brought the car back to Louisiana late in the week and it appeared there would not be enough time available to finish the car and to race Saturday nite. Enough progress was made on the car Friday that Chris decided to run the back-up at the MSCCS event at Whynot M,otorsports Park....26 cars signed in and were divided into 2 groups for qualifying with the top 4 cars in each group locked into the feature and the dash to determine the top 8 feature starts.Chris sat fast time qualifying and preceded to win the dash for a feature pole. The race was marred by a series of cautions that found Chris running 2nd on a restart on laps 11 and 14. Another restart for caution on lap 25 had the Intimagator in the lead as was he on a lap 28 restart. Lap 43 was another restart with Chris leading but there was a pile up on the restart involving several cars and an injury that red flagged the race for a long period as the track ambulance transported an injured racer to the hospital and the race was not ran until another ambulance arrived. When the checkers finally fell on the long nite the Intimagator had won his series leading 28th MSCCS event. The Intimagator Race team will now kick prep in high gear for the early mid week long trip from Springfield,La. to Eldora at Rossburg,Ohio for the Dream 100. Chris has not been fortunate enough to make the Dream starting field but will go into action optimistic as he barely missed the starting field his last visit.Intimagator Racing merchandise will be available both on vendors row and in the pits at the Dream 100.-----------------
GATORMAN STILL TRAVELS-KILGORE,TEXAS 5/25/2009 After the long trip home from West Plains,Mo. the gatorman still had the racing fever.SUPR was running a Sunday nite show at Lonestar Speedway-Kilgore,Texas so the hauler headed that way.37 cars signed in for the passing points format.5 heats were assigned and Chris' number pulled was 50 out of 50 giving him a last place start in his consi. Chris was passing for 3rd place and a feature transfer on the white flag lap when contact from another car spun him out and he backed it into the retaining wall. The damaged car was a bad enough problem but this also put Chris staring 11th and last in the consi. Chris got a little vengance as he not only got the transfer spot but passed for the consi win on the white flag lap. This gave him a 17th place feature start which he worked into a 5th place finish.------------------------------
INTIMAGATOR at the SHOW ME 100 5/24/2009 Making only their first visit to West Plains,Missouri, the race team competed in the Lucas Oil sanctioned Show Me 100. 67 cars signed in and were divided into 2 groups for qualifying to determine the 3 heat line ups for each group.Chris qualified 13th fastest in group 2 for a 5th place start in heat #4.Maybe he should have been faster or slower as Bloomquist [5 Show Me wins],Wallace [3 Show Me wins],Phillips [1 Show Me win],and McDowell were in front of him and he finished 5th in the heat for a 4th place start in consi #2. What appeared to be a nite ending 3rd place quickly changed as the lead car broke and Chris finished 2nd for a feature transfer. Starting 22nd in the feature maybe the first lap was a sign of the long nite facing the Intimagator. A first lap mellee sent Chris pit side for repairs and after another wreck caught him up in it also,Chris retired the car around lap 72 being 2 laps down in 22nd place and never seeming to click in his racing groove. The race team is looking for a regional event to attend for Sunday 5/24/2009 if weather cooperates. Next scheduled action will be a MSCCS sanctioned event on 5/30 at Whynot Motorsports Park in the Meridian.Ms. area.------------------
ANOTHER MSCCS VICTORY 5/17/2009 Less than 24 hours and around 650 miles after a 4th place Lucas Oil finish at Paducah,Kentucky, the Intimagator Race team had already changed from the open engine package to the spec engine package for a $3000 to win MSCCS event at South Ms. Speedway. 26 cars signed in and Chris would lock in a front row start in the 8 cars fast time dash to decide the feature front 8 starting positions. The dash was no different as the gatorman won it for a feature pole for the 50 lap affair. In a race that saw it's share of cautions and even a red flag delay Chris showed why he has dominated the MSCCS events at South Ms. Speedway over the last 4 years taking another victory. The race was not quite as easy as it sounds as Chris dropped to 3rd and made bonsai moves running the highside at both ends of the track to regain 2nd and retake the lead. I do not have an exact total but this MSCCS victory is gonna push the Intimagator close to the 30 mark since he started competing in 2004 as a rookie in the series. The long awaited first trip to the Show Me 100 is next on the agenda and the crew will be busily preparing 2- Wall2Wall open engine Stuckey's MasterSbilts for the event. ....-----------------
WHO LET DA GATOR LOOSE 5/15/2009 Action for the Intimagator Race team found them at Paducah International Raceway for a $10,000 to win Lucas Oil sanctioned event. After a last minute decision to leave Springfield,La. Thursday around 10am to cover a 551 mile haul for a UMP event that ended up getting cancelled because of wet grounds, the teams luck did not seem like it was gonna flourish Friday nite. 46 cars took times and Chris struggled qualifying to a 9th place start in heat #2. A faulty fuel pump was the culprit and not set-up or driving ability. Da gatorman finished 6th in his heat for a 4th place start in consi #1. Chris proceeded to push the #71 Wall2Wall powered MasterSbilt to a consi victory and a 17th place start in the feature but not before having to change radiators in between. The road adrenalin did not stop there as he recorded an amazing 4th place finish in his first visit to Paduch International Raceway against a very quality field of drivers advancing 13 spots. For those who think Chris Wall cannot master an open engine against some of the best racers in the country you need to find yourself another song and dance. The man who has mastered the spec engine package as well as anybody in the country has also proved that he ain't half bad slinging the high horse power open engine package around the track either. Chris and crew are supposed to leave Paducah,Kentucky and drive to Pass Christian, Ms. for a MSCCS event Saturday nite at South Ms. Speedway.....----------------
CAN'T RACE IN DA RAIN 5/3/2009 The Intimagator crew chose to make the pull to Ark-La-Tex Speedway-Vivian,La. for a SUPR sanctioned 50 lap event.Mother Nature decided to change the racing plans for all racers and the event never got started. Intimagator Racing is taking next weekend off and the weekend of 5/15-16/2009 is undecided as of now. The team is looking at a UMP event on 5/14 and a Lucas Oil event on 5/15 at Paducah International Raceway-Paducah,Ky. followed by a Lucas Oil event at Lasalle Speedway-Lasalle,Illonois on 5/16. The other option will be a MSCCS double header on 5/15-16/2009 at South Ms. Speedway-Long Beach,Ms.------------------
- INTIMAGATOR OPENS IT UP 4/26/2009 In what had to be a "who'd a thunk it" situation at the SUPR series event at Pike County Speedway, Chris Wall surprised everyone at the track by running an open engine package for the 50 lap event.25 slms signed in and was divided into 4 heats utilizing the passing points system to determine the start for the feature. The gatorman started 3rd in heat #1 and after an all out war with Ray Moore who was driving a new Mars MasterSbilt, Chris made the pass for for the lead finally and earned an inside pole for the feature. It was evident by the blackening on the track that the feature was gonna be a low passing event so Chris had to not only focus on the other competitors but also on not making any costly mistakes. A race caution involving the Intimagator and a lap car caused a caution but SUPR officials returned Chris to the point. The Wall2Wall open engine responded masterfully to the driver that has got a reputation for being a "spec" engine only racer. After constant pressure from Kenny Merchant who has changed over to the Wall2Wall spec package and was running the highside early but dropped the groove very quick, the only question was if lapped traffic would play a part in the checkered flag and it almost cost Chris the checkered flag.Chris got hung up behind the lapped traffic and the C28 got a good run and got within inches of Chris at the checkers. The racer who Chris credits with teaching him the most racing knowledge by just following him and watching his lines used his experience to almost steal the victory....... This was the 3rd victory to go along with a 2nd in the Intimagator's last four starts. Chris took time to sit down and talk with us while waiting to register his car and explained that he has been in an experimental phase looking for better set-up packages and is pleased with what the results that he has achieved. The next event for Intimagator Racing will be at a UMP event on May 1,2009 at Paducah International Raceway-Paducah,Ky.. and a Lucas Oil Event at Paducah International Raceway-Paducah,Ky. on May 2,2009.------------------
NO DOUBLE at the REBEL CHALLENGE 4/12/2009 Nite 2 of the Brown Engineering Rebel Challenge saw 45 slms sign in for the $10,000 to win event. Once again group qualifying was implemented with Chris taking fast time in group #1 for an outside pole for the feature.Chris grabbed the first lap lead and the race was on. After 37 laps of dogging by fellow front row pole sitter Ronnie Lee Hollingsworth Chris was passed by the 0 car of Bloomquist on lap 38 and followed him to the checkers for a 2nd place finish. Next tentative action for the Intimagator Race Team should be the rescheduled SUPR event at Pike County Speedway on 4/25/2009.---------------
GATORMAN WINS NITE #1 of REBEL CHALLENGE 4/10/2009 44 slms signed in at Columbus Speedway to battle for the $3000 winners share of the first leg of the Rebel Challenge. The group qualifying format was used with 4 groups locking in the 2 fastest times in each group.Chris had fast time in group #1 and overall fast time for a feature pole. 40 laps later after lapping up to 7th place, the man the call the "Intimagator" had taken his 3rd checkered flag of 2009. Saturday nite will be a $10,000 to win event and should provide a much stouter field of challengers.------------
GROOVIN ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON 25 slms signed in at a SUPR sanctioned Sunday matinee at Baton Rouge Raceway. Chris won heat #1 of 3 to start on the pole for the feature. Chris got the jump on the feature green and led for 2 laps before relinquishing the lead and having to fight for 2nd for the next 12 laps. A 3 car wreck that saw 1 car get upside down on turn 1 wall stopped the racing action for a while. Whether Chris had a serious talk to the Stuckeys MasterSbilt or to the Wall2 Wall spec engine or just simply regrouped his thoughts during the red flag, it must have worked. On the restart on the back stretch Chris hung the highside and passed the leader coming out of turn 4 and cruised the remainder of the race working lapped traffic to pefection to take his 7th SUPR series event win. Probably the next action for Intimagator Racing will be the $3,000 and $10,000 to win doubleheaders at Columbus Speedway on April 10th and 11th.-----------------
WOO at BATTLEGROUND 3/22/2009 33 slms signed in for the $20,000 to win World of Outlaws 2 day event at Battleground Speedway at Highland,Texas. Chris had a great 5th overall fast qualifying time for an outside pole for heat #1 of 4 heats. The gatorman mustered a challenge for the lead but took home a 2nd. Chris was one of 8 drivers to draw for the top 8 starting positions in the 100 lap feature and drew a 5 starting position. When the green flag dropped the gatorman quickly lost positions back to around 18th or so. I got an idea this may have been from running hard tires since it was a 100 lap race and as the laps wore on several front runners were having flats. Chris was caught up in someone elses spin early in the event and pitted and returned after the stop. At one point he had came back up to be in a 3 way challenge for 6th but a spinout ended that good run.Around lap 73 Chris pulled to the infield and was done for the nite. He was credited with a 15th place finish. Next scheduled action for Intimagator Racing will be the SUPR sanctioned doubleheader on 3/28 and 3/29 at Pike County Speedway and Baton Rouge Raceway.-------------
BEHIND THE 8 BALL and the BAD LUCK BUG 3/15/2009 Around 45 cars signed in for Friday's $7000 to win World of Outlaw sanctioned event at Deep South Speedway at Loxley,Alabama. The Intimagator Racing Team started the WoO weekend off behind most not aware there was a practice session Thursday nite. This did not seem to affect Chris very much as he was 5th quick in his group and was of about 15 cars that broke the track record. The team ended up in heat #4 and it was not a pleasurable ride. Chris started 4th in the heat and got loose in turn 2 and lost positions. He was hammer down and ready to take a transfer spot back when the nite came to a sudden end. Temperature went up on the engine and he immediately shut the car down. After being pushed back to the pits he discovered that he had slung a belt off and loaded the car up. Some better news came Saturday morning as no internal damage was found upon tearing the engine down.Chris had not finished rebuiling and reassembling the Eastbay engine so next weekends trip to the WoO event at Battleground spedway in Texas was gonna be scratched and he would have ran a local event with a spec engine but now the WoO event is still on. Next scheduled action will be a $20,000 to win World of Outlaw event at Battleground Speedway.---------------
1ST AND 2ND at FROSTBITE DOUBLEHEADER 3/8/2009 The doubleheader format used at this years Frostbite 50 kicked off Friday nite with 25 cars signed in for the 40 lap $2000 to win event. Chris locked into the main event with fastest time of 14.3 and a pole for the 8 lap dash to determine the feature start. On what was the best prepared tracks that the Intimagator has ever ran on at South Ms. Speedway, Chris lost the lead early on the hammer down tacky track but quickly regained it and after a very eventful race he took home the victory. Chris got into the back of another car that had also ran into the rear of a lapped car and broke both mounts on the front bumper. With the nose dragging the ground in the turns Chris still fought the car home for the checkers...... Saturday nite also saw 25 cars sign in with once again the Intimagator having a fast time of 14.9. It is pretty obvious that what was a tacky track Friday nite was not gonna be the case Saturday nite as dust was flying during qualifying. At the drop of the green for the 8 car 8 lap dash for feature positions, Chris made contact in turn 1 and spun around in front of the field and got broadsided by another car. The result was a totally destroyed left front with the spindle, control arms, the shock and all parts damaged and the nose piece damaged. Chris had to back of the track because of the damage. With the loan of a front cap by Anthony Burroughs and a qiuckly parts repacement effort by the crew and others, Chris still made the call for the feature and started 8th in the 50 lap $3000 to win event. On a track where passing was a premium Chris one by one picked off cars in front of him until he took home a 2nd place finish at the checkered flag. Next weekends schedule is gonna be an odd one to most. Friday nite the Intimagator Racing Team will be at Deep South Speedway to compete in the WoO event. Depending on how they fare Friday nite since this is the teams first visit to the Loxley,Alabama 4/10 mile facility, Chris will decide if he will run Saturday nites event there or travel to Columbus Speedway for the 2nd leg of the Rebel Challenge event.------------
INTIMAGATOR KICKS OFF REGIONAL ACTION The Intimagator Racing Team will kick off the deep south regional action at a doubleheader on March 6th and March 7th at South Ms. Speedway located at Pss Christian,Ms. Chris Wall had a very successful Lucas Oil Winternationals at Eastbay Raceway making a career best 3 features out of 6 events and was competitive every race. The doubleheader at South Ms. Speedway in the past has been a single nite 50 lap event known as the "Frostbite 50" paying $5000 to win but has been changed to a 40 lap event Frday nite paying $2000 to win and a 50 lap event Saturday nite paying $3000 to win. Chris has won this event the last 3 years in a row.In other Intimagator Racing news Chris and wife Missy celebrate 20 years of marriage on March 5th [so now you know why Chris has raced so hard in this event ]. There also has not been a definate choice made between the WoO doubleheader at Deep South Speedway, Loxley,Al. and the Rebel Challenge doubleheader at Columbus Speedway. I will update March's schedule on the website as soon as i receive more info.------------
NITE #6 at EASTBAY Chris saved his best effort of the week for the last nite of racing. 75 cars signed in and was divided into 2 groups. The gatorman was 6th fastest in group #1 and got the pole for heat #3 by a 2 invert spun by the fast time. Chris finished 3rd in his heat for a 17th place feature start. After a caution fest that saw numerous cars leave the track from flats, after the attrition was over Chris had a solid 5th place finish. Intimagator Racing would like to thank Mr. Cotton for his truck driving and crew help and also a very accomplished racer Anthony Burroughs for extending a helping hand this week. Chris finished the week making 3 of 6 shows all was competitive every race. Next tentative action should be a doubleheader at South Ms. Speedway on March 6th and 7th.--------------
NITE #5 at EASTBAY 75 cars signed in and were divided in 2 groups. Chris was 11th fastest in group 1 and started 4th in heat #2. The caution flew early in the race and Chris got sideways after some beating and banging with another car . Unfortunately he got into David Breazeale in the spinout also. Chris suffered damage and left the track for repairs. The team will try to regroup for Saturday nites final race of the week.-------------
NITE #1 at EASTBAY MAKE-UP Monday nites rainout was made up Friday afternoon. 58 cars signed in for the event. This format was 4 groups of qualifying. Chris timed in 4th fast in group #1 and finished 5th in the heat for a pole for consi #1 of 2. He went flag to flag for the consi victory and a 17th place start in the feature. Chris only managed a 14th in the feature but after the week he has had it was a blessing to make the show and not get torn up.The team will now prep for tonites feature event.-----------
NITE #4 at EASTBAY 73 cars signed in to do battle on Thursday nite. Chris had a good qualifying effort of 8th fastest in group #2 for 3rd place start in heat #5. The "full moon" syndrom was in full force as on the very first lap Chris was hit by another car and recieved right front suspension damage sending him pitside for repairs with no lap completed. This misfortune put him starting 15th in the consi after repairs were made and the luck was no better.in the consi. Once again contact pushed the sheet metal in on the wheel causing a flat. Chris was chosen to run the last chance dash but could only manage a 4th place finish in it so the team just watched the action last nite.-------------
NITE #3 at EASTBAY Some nites are definately better than others as evident by the luck of the draw. 72 slms signed in for Wednesday nites action. Chris timed in 14th fastest of 36 cars in group #1. Unfortunately he was in heat #2 with a few well known names as in Moyer[2nd in last nites feature],Miller[won last nites feature],McDowell,Oneal,Marlar etc so you get the picture. Chris finished 7th in heat #2 and earned an 8th place start in the consi. He gave it all he had finishing 3rd falling one spot short of transferring to the feature. The team will focus on getting it done Thursday nite.------------
NITE #2 at EASTBAY On a very cold nite in Florida 68 slms signed in for action. The cars were grouped in 2 groups of 34 to qualify against their group to determine starting postions in 6 heats. Chris started his nite off with an amazing fast time in group #2.Due to a #3 pill draw invert the Gatorman started 3rd in heat #4 and had an all out war with Jimmy Owens to hold on to 3rd and transfer to a #14 start in the feature. As the team put it "we were not good in the feature". Chris pulled off for adjustments on lap 20 of 30 and ended up finishing in 18th place. He said the car felt better and this would benefit him in tonited action.------------
NITE #1 AT EASTBAY All action at the first nite of the Lucas Oil Winternationals at Eastbay Raceway was rained out and action will resume 2/3/2009.-----------
HALE YEA FOR THE GATORMAN Chris saw the ortho today and no surgery is required on his hand. They put a 3/4 removeable cast on his hand that is only hard over the damaged area and can be removed easily for him to shower etc. He will go back in 2 weeks for a progress report. At 7:10 pm the Walls were on their way to Indiana to MasterSbilt to have the chassis checked out and still have full plans of heading to Eastbay Raceway for the Lucas Oil Winternationals. Yea baby!-------------
RESULTS of the BOYDS BITE Xrays this morning revealed that Chris's right hand is broken. This was the result of Saturday nites wreck at Boyds Speedway. Chris will see an orthopedic surgeon this afternoon for a prognosis and i will update as i get info. Seems that the racing world just does not smile upon my friend when it comes to big events as demonstrated by last years happenings. Eastbay is not !00% out of the question but with the destroyed primary chassis and the broken hand it is not looking good............
MORNING AFTER UPDATE Update from Missy this morning is it was the right hand and not the wrist which is a good thing and Chris also drives left handed. It is swollen pretty good but Chris will probably wait until tommorrow for the xray.Best Chris can tell is that he thought the wreck was over and possibly had relaxed and rested his hand inside the steering wheel and was hit again causing the damage to the hand. I was mistaken on the backup chassis as Chris had purchased it instead of it being a loaner. If the damaged car is only the rear clip the car is fixable but he will have to scrap it if the front clip is damaged also. His name is on the list for a new MasterSbilt and the injury plus the chassis situation will determine the Eastbay plans. An odditty is Chris said his hand hurt more than his neck did at the NAS flip.The team would like to thank Ray Cook for the loan of the raceiver and congratulate him on his win............;
GATORMAN TAKEN OUT FIRST LAP The trip to Boyds Speedway had an ominous start. Chris had a very sub par qualifying effort with a 23rd time. This put him in consi #1 starting 6th. Chris redeemed himself and won the consi to start 13th in the feature. Some nites are better than others and this nite was one of the bad ones.On the very 1st lap Chris was the innocent victim of a wreck and was hit by another car during the incident. The worse part of the deal was the gatormans hand was caught in the steering wheel and he suffered an injury. Missy did not know how bad the hand was hurt but said Chris was in a lot of pain.Late word is it is his hand and not his wrist. The car is destroyed and the rear clip is totalled. I will update when i recieve more info. I do not know yet if this injury to Chris and his primary car will be severe enough to affect the trip to Eastbay for the Lucas Oil races.........
TEST and TUNE SESSION at BOYDS SPEEDWAY Since the Winter Classic at Columbus Speedway was postponed for a week and prior committments prevented Intimagator Racing from attending next weeks make-up, the team hurriedly made arrangements to make a long pull to Boyds Speedway in the Chattanooga-north Georgia area. Chris needed some seat time with the Wall2Wall open engine package in the Stuckeys MasterSbilt before the 6 nites of Lucas Oil Dart Nationals at Eastbay. This will strictly be a test and tune effort but of course the team will try to make the show at Boyds. Details will be updated tommorow.............
WINTER CLASSIC POSTPONED The Winter Classic at Columbus Speedway has been postponed due to expected rain until 1/31/2009. Due to prior committments it is almost a certainty that Intimagator Racing will not be able to attend. So the 2009 season will kick off at Eastbay Raceway on 2/2/2009.,,,,,,,,,,,,
GATOR TIME JUST AROUND THE CORNER Intimagator Racing is scheduled to kick off the 2009 season at the Winter Classic at Columbus Speedway on January 24th. The team is hoping for an "all go" on this date with no weather problems as the next weekend is already taken for personal reasons and Sunday nite will be a travel time for the Lucas Oil Winternationals at Eastbay Raceway-Tampa,Florida......The 2008 race season was one of the oddest years the race team has seen that included the team cancelling plans to both the Dream and World at Eldora due to hurricanes in Louisiana.Chris started the year at Eastbay and saw a sure lockin for race 1 go down the tubes with engine failure. The gator man proceeded to make 2 of the remaining 5 events and miss the Saturday final by only inches........Chris started the regional action with 4 wins out of 6 starts with also a 2nd and 6th in MSCCS action. Also during this period was a James King Memorial victory at Columbus Speedway,a 10th in a $20,000 to win WoO event and a strange black flag while leading a SUPR event that was later admitted to be an error by SUPR officials......The team was jelling and then tragedy struck at a SAS show in early May at North Alabama Speedway. Chris had a violent multi flip wreck that severely damaged his neck and put him on the disable list for 6 weeks and also wiped out a trip to the Show Me 100.Chris returned to racing the 3rd week of June at a MSCCS event at Whynot Motorsports Park but saw an early exit with rear end problems. Not to be saddled with the bad luck bug the team bounced back with consectutive victories at Columbus and Magnolia Speedways......The track at N.A.S. once again frowned on Chris as he flipped for a 2nd time there at a Lucas Oil event. The team bounced back the very next nite with a 4th place Lucas Oil finish at Columbus Speedway.......The odd year continued as a very promising 4th fastest time at the USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway was thrown in the trash as Chris was wrecked in his heat race. The team failed to make the show at the Topless 100 at Batesville Speedway but bounced back with a victory in the $20,008 to win Magnolia 100,and a 2nd at the $15,000 to win Cotton Pickin 100.There is no reason for not having optimism for the 2009 season as Chris really mastered the open engine package in 2008. The race team will once again utilize Stuckey prepared MasterSbilts and both Wall2Wall spec and open engines in 2009.Look for Intimagator Racing to run a "pick and choose" schedule in 2009 with more emphasis on national recognized sanctioned and unsanction events. Intimagator Racing is very greatful for all the prayers and support during the recuperation period, the tremendous fan support, and concession sales in 2008. 2008 SYNOPSIS Intimagator Racing competed in 31 events with 6 weeks off to recover from a neck injury. Stats are as follows:8-wins......3-2nds......1-4th.....1-5th.....1-6th.....1-10th...... 5-below 10th.....8-dns including 2- wrecks and 1- engine failure.....3-dnfs by virtue of 1-engine,1- rear end, and 1- flat........Chris competed in 9 Lucas Oil events with 1-4th,1-13th,1-17th, and 6- dns. He also competed in 1- WOO event with a 10th,1-SAS event that saw him flip and have to sit out 6 weeks from injuries suffered, 8-MSCCS events with 4-wins,2-2nds,1-6th, and 1- dnf. Premium events were the Magnolia State 100-won, Cotton Pickin 100-2nd, Fall Classic-12th,and the USA Nationals-dns.
