LODLS at PORTSMOUTH RACEWAY PARK
9/5/2010......THERE IS STILL SOME BITE LEFT IN THE GATORMAN!..... 39 cars signed in for 2 day-75 lap LODLS sanctioned event at PRP. Chris was 4th fast qualifying in group #1 for outside front row heat start. The Wall2Wall powered Stuckeys MastersBilt was set up pretty good as the Gatorman ran 2nd until the checkered flag where he was beaten by a nose to take 3rd and an 11th place feature start. Some times the gator bites the driver but on this nite the Gatorman chomped the gator. Chris used patience on a very rough track and brought home a great 5th place finish at the end of the 75 lapper. Hopefully momentum will continue as the team makes the haul from Ohio to West Virginia for a rare Sunday nite event at the LODLS sanctioned "Hillbilly Hundred" at West Virginia Motor Speedway.

LODLS at BLUEGRASS SPEEDWAY
8/29/2010....34 cars signed in for the Lucas Oil sanctioned event at Bluegrass Speedway-Bardstown,Ky. Chris timed 5th fast in group #1 for a 3rd place start in heat #1 where he finished 3rd. The feature saw Chris start 9th and after a 50 lap caution fest he finished 12th which included a pit stop for tires. This finish was the best the team has recorded since the 2nd at Lucas Oil Speedway back on 7/17. The team has faced mechanical issues most of the last 8 races and logged in the following finishes: 19TH,DNS[WOO],22ND,17TH,19TH,18TH,19TH, and 17TH. Chris has dropped from 7th in points to just barely in 9th and saw his ROTY lead dwindle down also. The remaining 8 LODLS sanctioned races are gonna be very strategic as Chris can still pull out a 7th place points finish with some good luck that has not blessed him the last couple of months. Next scheduled action will be a 2 day LODLS race at Portsmouth Raceway Park on 9/3-4 and the following nite at West Virginia Motor Speedway on 9/5.

LODLS at LAWRENCEBURG SPEEDWAY
8/28/2010.....39 cars signed in and Chris qualified 7th in his group for a 3rd place start in his heat. Chris was running 3rd on lap #8 when he had a blowout. After a quick tire change Chris managed to work a 7th place heat finish. This placed him in a consi starting 5th but he flexed some power and won the consi for an 18th place feature start. Things were looking up for the Gatorman as he had already reached 12th by lap #9. From there it was the same story as it has been for what seems like an eternity as the car experienced a malfunction. Chris could not stear and stopped on lap #31 thinking he had a flat. Turned out there was a malfunction in the brake caliper and he returned to the track for a disappointing 17th place finish. Tonite the team competes at another LODLS race at Bluegrass Speedway-Bardstown,Ky.

TOPLESS 100 at BATESVILLE
8/22/2010.....73 cars signed in for the LODLS sanctioned Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway. Chris was 13th fast qualifyer in group #1.He started 5th in heat @1 and finished 5th to go to B-main #1. The Gatorman failed to transfer from his B-main and took a 23rd place start with a provisional. Saturday's feature was rained out so the race was run on Sunday afternoon. Very long and disappointing day as Chris finished 19th and took a points hit dropping from 7th to 9th. Next scheduled action will be a LODLS doubleheader at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Indiana on Friday 8/27 and on to Bluegrass Speedway in Kentucky on 8/28.........

NORTH/SOUTH 100
8/15/2010.....A very impressive 71 cars signed in for the LODLS sanctioned North/South 100 at Florence Speedway. Just how tough was the field of cars? When you see names like T-Mac,Moyer,and Lannigan [home track] not making the show you should have a pretty good idea.A rain shower delayed the start of the event but probably helped for a racier track. Chris pulled a big surprise and chose to run a Wall2Wall spec engine with hopes of the tracks reputation of black slicking over would come into play and he qualified 7th fast in group #2 [11th overall] for an inverted pole for heat #4. At the drop of the green for the heat the outside pole took the lead with Chris challenging in a close 2nd until a caution on lap 6th of 12 laps. On the restart Chris got passed by 2 cars putting him back to a 4th place finish and a front row start for consi #2.Gator power prevailed in the consi and Chris transferred for a 22nd feature start. The spec engine game plan was working very well as the Gatorman reached 9th place but then the bad luck that has plagued him this season once again frowned on him. The battery failed and Chris limped home with an 18th place finish. The Intimagator Race Team currently is leading the Appliance Zone fan voting and sits in 7th place in the Lucas Oil points race.Chris and crew will be busily preparing for the Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway on 8/20 and 8/21.......

LODLS at HAGERSTOWN SPEEDWAY
8/1/2010.......39 Cars signed in and Chris was fast time in group#1 for a pole for heat #1.From there on the nightmare road trip continued as the car lost a driveshaft on lap #3 of the heat delegating the Gatorman to a last place finish. Chris made an admirable run in the consi to come from last to 3rd in 6 laps but spun out and took a provisional for a 23rd place feature start. From there he was never a factor in the 50 lap race and finished 19th....... This week has been a tough one for the Intimagator Race Team that saw Chris take a big hit in the LODLS points dropping from a comfortable 7th to barely ahead in 8th. The break in Lucas Oil action will be a blessing to give the team to repair and regroup for the North/South 100 coming up on 8/13 and 8/14 at Florence Speedway.

LODLS at UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY
7/30/2010......Trust me when i say that Chris Wall is definately not in a "New York state of mind" as i will explain later in this write up. 26 cars signed in for the Lucas Oil sanctioned 50 lap event at Utica-Rome Speedway at Vernon,New York. The Intimagator already had his back against the wall [no pun intended] as he had lost his primary engine Tuesday nite. Worse case scenario only got worst as he lost his backup engine in qualifying delegating him to a 24th place timing in position. Thank goodness for friends as Don Oneal and Team MasterSbilt let Chris use his backup car. Chris started last in heat #3 and pushed the ride to a 4th place finish and a 12th place feature start. What appeared to be a disappointing nite was looking much better. Both the car and driver were dialed in and Chris made it up to 6th place with only a few laps left in the race. But just as fast as misfortune turned around, it went the other direction even faster. The car staring overheating and Chris pulled off to prevent farther damage and was credited with a 17th place finish. The water pump blew a gasket but no damage was incurred to the engine. Chris was now scrambling to figure out how to get another engine by Saturday's event at Hagerstown,Maryland. Thank goodness Ray Cook's car owner stepped up and sold Chris an engine to run at Saturday's event. The following is a webmasters personal comments.......Every time i get on one of the dirt racing message boards there is always certain race fans griping and complaining about our great sport. Everything from car owners, engine builders, drivers, and especially race tracks from track prep, concessions, racing series, and all other facets are criticized. But you know what? The sport will continue to flourish because of the brotherhood of racers themselves. No less than 3 racers [Tyler Reddick,Brad Neat, and Don Oneal] offered Chris a backup car last nite.Danny Dishman sold Chris an engine to run Saturday nite at an event. These people all compete against the Gatorman in the Lucas Oil Tour but yet still had the class to offer help and Intimagator Racing dearly thank all that helped or offered help last nite.It would have been very easy for Chris Wall to say "I have had enough and am quiting" but there is no quit in Chris as there is no quiting in dirt track racing......

LUCAS at FONDA SPEEDWAY
7/28/2010....A slim field of 23 cars signed in for the 1st leg of a tripleheader. Chris started the night off behind the 8 ball as in hotlaps. The drive shaft spun in the yoke and quickly ended the practice with only a few laps. It did not appear to be any serious damage as Chris timed in 6th fast and finished 2nd in heat #3 for a 6th place feature start. With only 7 laps in the books the oil pressure dropped and Chris pulled off the track for the nite. The engine had over revved with the drive shaft incident and damaged a bearing. This was an extremely big hit in the Lucas points as the Gatorman finished 22nd. The team will utilize the backup engine for Thursday nites Lucas event at Utica-Rome Speedway at Vernon,New York.

FLORENCE SPEEDWAY-GENX SHAKEDOWN NITE #2
7/25/2010.....The Intimagator Race Team raced in the Sunoco sponsored race at Floence Speedway-Unoin,Ky. for another test and tune of the new GenX chassis. 37 cars signed in with straight up qualifying and Chris timed in 18th for a 5th place start in heat #2. Chris finished 5th in his heat for an 18th place feature start. Setup on the new chassis was a lot better than the previous nite but the bad luck bug bit him as he had the front right nose piece dragging the ground on lap 25 so he pulled to the infield. The team will now prepare for a 3 race Lucas Oil swing starting on Tuesday at Fonda,NY., Thursday at Vernon,NY., and Saturday at Hagarstown,Md.......

VOLUNTEER SPEEDWAY-GENX SHAKEDOWN
7/24/2010....As the title says last nite was the first nite of a doubleheader test and tune weekend for the new MasterSbilt Genx chassis. 34 cars signed in at the highbanked power plabt at Volunteer Speedway-Bulls Gap,Tn. for a 53 lap Southern National event. Chris locked into a 9th place feature start with a 9th place qualifying effort. The new chassis done a quick about face for the feature and the Gatorman fought a serious loose condition as long as he could. No benefit would have came from finishing the race so Chris pulled to the infield on lap 30 and called it a night. The team travels to Florence Speedway at Union,Ky. for a 50 lap Sunoco race tonite and more test and tune seat time before Lucas action resumes next week.
-
LATE SCHEDULE UPDATE
7/23/2010.....The new MasterSbilt GenX was completed earlier than projected and Chris has decided to get some seat time in the new car before Locas Oil resumes next week. The Intimagator Race team will be at Volunteer Speedway-Bulls Gap,Tn. on 7/23 for a Southern Nationals race and at Florence Speedway-Union,Ky on 7/24 for a Sunoco Race Fuels tuneup race for the North/South 100. As always i will update asap.

USA NATIONALS-NO / GENX-YES
7/18/2010......There have been questions about if Chris is gonna compete in this years USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway. Unfortunately the Gatorman will not be able to attend this years event. Chris purchased a new MasterSbilt Smackdown in May and debuted it at the Show Me 100 at the end of May. The Masters family has encouraged Chris to try a GenX and based on Oneal's and Cook's results he knew it was time for a change. School will be starting August 9th in Louisiana and between that and getting the new chassis ready for the Topless 100, Chris will probably just race a local event that weekend to keep the rust off. Intimagator Racing thanks all their loyal sponsors and great race fans for their support.

LODLS at LUCAS OIL SPEEDWAY
7/18/2010.....After having less than stellar runs at this Wheatland,Mo track,Chris had to be apprehensive about this 50 lap race. His last trip here resulted in a flipped race car, many laps of pit repairs, and a gutsy run to the finish. But that was then and this was another nite on the LODLS tour.43 cars signed in and Chris was 8th fast in group #1 for a fourth place start in heat #2. Chris flexed some muscle and finished 2nd in the heat for a 7th place feature start. At the drop of the green the Gatorman found the track to his liking and advanced to 3rd in the mid stages of the race. After a caution on lap 42 Chris mashed the Wall2Wall Performance engine and the Stuckeys MasterSbilt answered as he passed for 2nd with 3 laps remaining and caught the leader. Chris threw everything he had at race leader Jimmy Owens the last 3 laps but could not make the pass and took home a fantastic 2nd place finish.LODLS awarded Chris the "Clean Pass of the Race Award","Rookie of the Race Award", and also crew chief Darrell Posey garned the "Crew Chief of the Race Award".This was Chris' best finish of the season in LODLS and really built momentum and confidence for the stretch drive coming up.The Gator man resides 7th in series points and leads the ROTY points. The Intimagator Race Team will get a break of about 10 days from Lucas competition and then hit the road for a 7/27 event at Fonda Speedway-Fonda,New York,7/29 event at Utica-Rome Speedway-Vernon,New York, and cap the weekend off on 7/31 at Hagerstown Speedway-Hagerstown,Maryland...............PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE IN THE APPLIANCE ZONE CONTEST

LODLS at TRI CITY SPEEDWAY
7/17/2010....42 bad boys signed in for the Lucas Oil sanctioned event at Tri City Speedway [including non Lucas regulars like Moyer,Birky,Mars, etc.]. Chris qualied 8th quick in group #1 for a fourth place start in heat #2. Chris mashed the pedal kinda hard for a 2nd place heat finish and a 7th place feature start. Racing is a matter of fine adjustments and a too tight heat run was adjusted too much and the car was loose for the feature. Chris held on for a 12th place finish and really not a bad points nite. Tonite action shifts from Illinois to Lucas Oil Speedway in Missouri for another Lucas event.

LODLS at MAGNOLIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY
7/11/2010......55 slms signed in for the 2 day $20,000 to win Lucas Oil sanctioned event at Magnolia Motor Speedway at Columbus,Ms. Chris was 4th fast in group #2 for an outside pole in heat #4 of 6 heats. A 2nd place heat finish earned the Gatorman an 8th place feature start and when the 100 laps were done Chris had logged a 10th place finish and also earned the Rookie of the Race award. Most nites this would have been just an ok finish but Chris actually gained 1 spot in the LODLS points chase and now resides in 7th....Next scheduled action will be a LODLS doubleheader at Tri City Speedway-Pontoon Beach,Il. on 7/16 and Lucas Oil Speedway-Wheatland,Mo. on 7/17........

LODLS at PORTSMOUTH RACEWAY PARK
7/5/2010....53 cars signed in for the Lucas Oil sanctioned 50 lap event as were divided into 2 qualifying groups. Chris qualified in 10th place for a 5th place start in heat #2.Contraversy was the game as Chris was charged with a "rough driving call as most described as "Total B.S." The gatorman did not transfer to the A-main in the consi but started 23rd on a points provisional. From there Chris made the best of turning a rough nite around and finished 12th. The Intimagator won the Rookie of the Race award as well as the Hard Charger award. Often unsung crew chief Darrell Posey also won the Crew Chief of the Race award.Chris also added a few more points to the spread between his position of 8th and 9th and 10th and also the ROTY points race.Next tentative action for the race team will be a $20,000 to win 2 nite LODLS event on 7/9 and 7/10 at Magnolia Motor Speedway-Columbus,Ms.

Chris was in group #1 for qualifing and had a mid pack qualifying effort for a 5th place start in heat #1. Chris flexed a little muscle and finished his heat in 3rd for a 9th place feature start. When the 50 lap event was completed the Gatorman brought home an 11th place finish but more importantly took sole possession of 8th in the points chase by a slim 20 point margin. Sunday nite will conclude the 4 nite weekend with another LODLS event in Ohio......

7/2/2010......28 cars signed in at Beckley Motor Speedway for a sanctioned 50 lap event. Chris was in the 2nd group to qualify and had a very subpar 10th fast time for a 5th place start in his heat. Chris finished 5th in the heat but bounced back and won his B-main for a 17th place feature start. Track conditions were very questionable but the Gatorman moved up to a 10th place finish in the final rundown. Tonite the team will compete in a Southern All Stars event at Wythe Raceway as it is an off nite in Lucas.....

LUCAS AT VOLUNTEER SPEEDWAY NITE #2
6/20/2010......43 cars signed in for the 2nd leg of the LODLS sanctioned events at Volunteer Speedway. Chris started 5th in heat #3 and finished 4th for a 14th place feature start. One car ahead of him scratched and Chris started in 12th and finished 10th. The whole Intimagator Race Team wishes prayers for fellow Lucas competitor Dan Schlieper who left the track by ambulance after complaining of dizziness and having slurred speech. At this time i have no info to what the prognosis on Dan was determined.....Next weekend is scheduled to be an off weekend for LODLS so i am not sure if the team will take off or pickup a race somewhere......Happy Fathers Day to all.

LUCAS AT VOLUNTEER SPEEDWAY-NITE #1
6/19/2010.......For what has seemed like the longest LODLS 6 race non top 10 finish streak for Intimagator Racing, last nites race had to be a breath of revitalization. The team had seen every thing that could go wrong head in that direction and dropped from 5th in LODLS points to 9th. 47 cars signed in at Volunteer Speedway-Bulls Gap,TN. for the first race of a 2 nite LODLS. Chris started the nite off in great shape with a fast time in group #2 and a pole for heat #3. The outside lane was the fastest and the gatorman brought home a 2nd place finish for a 6th place feature start. When the 50 laps of dryslick racing was over, Chris maintained a 6th place finish but most of all got the monkey off his back for at least 1 nite. Action continues tonite at the same track with another 50 lapper and hopefully there will be another smile on Chris's face when the checkered flag falls.

LODLS at CLEVELAND
6/18/2010.......44 slms signed in for the Lucas Oil sanctioned 50 lapper at Cleveland Speedway-Cleveland,Tn.The gatorman was 9th quick in qualifying in group #2 for a 5th place start in heat #3 where he finished 5th for a front row start in B-main #2. Chris won the B-main for an 18th place feature start. An early race confrontation around lap 7 or 8 sent Chris to the rear and he could only muster a 17th place finish. Friday nite action shifts to Volunteer Speedway at Bulls Gap,Tn. for a doubleheader LODLS weekend with 50 lappers scheduled both nites....

The gatormans nite came to a quick end as a flat on the left front sent him pit side. Only cars finishing 4-10 were eligible for B & C Mains.Intimagator Racing is rooting for Bub McCool who finished 4th in his heat and should have an excellent chance of making the show.....Next scheduled action for the race team with be a LODLS triple header of 50 lap-10k races starting on Thursday 6/17 at Cleveland Speedway-Cleveland,Tn. and back to back races on Friday 6/18 and Saturday 6/19 at Volunteer Speedway-Bulls Gap,Tn......

JOEY LOGANO RECORDS an 13TH at the PRELUDE
6/10/2010.....What a years difference makes! Last year Joey Logano hit the wall in the heat race and destroyed the back clip of Chris Wall's Stuckeys MasterSbilt. This year Joey showed a lot more patience and brought the Wall2Wall powered car home to a 13th place finish in the 30 lap Prelude to the Dream last nite. Joey started 18th in the 27 car field and showed patience and poise in only his 2nd competitive outing in a dirt super latemodel. Conrats to Joey Logano and thanks to Tony Stewart for hosting this very worthy charity event.

LODLS at FLORENCE SPEEDWAY
6/5/2010....45 cars signed in and per Lucas format were divided in 2 groups with Chris having 10th fast time in group #2. He started 5th in heat #4 and finished 6th to head to the consi. A 4th lap spinout in the consi ended any hopes of making the show without using a provisional. If my figures are correct, Chris started 24th and finished 20th. Next tentative action for the Intimagator Race Team will be the 2010 Dream at Eldora Speedway on June 11th and 12th.

LODLS at TAZWELL SPEEDWAY
6/5/2010......32 cars signed in for the 75 lap Lucas Oil sanctioned event.Chris was in group #2 and had a sub par qualifying effort due to brake failure for a 6th place start in heat #3 where he finished 6th. Chris started 3rd in the B-main and finished 3rd for a 22nd place feature start. This story is getting kinda old but it seems that most tracks LODLS are booking events on are being widely criticized for being 1 groove. The gatorman did manage to pass 8 positions for a 14th place finish and the Hard Charger award. Tonite action shifts to Floence Speedway-Florence,Kentucky.

PLEASE DON'T "SHOW ME"
5/30/2010........The Show Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway-Wheatland,Mo saw 73 entrants sign in. Chris debuted a new Stuckey's MasterSbilt and as expected had a few quirks to work out.The field was divided into the 2 qualifying groups with the Gatorman in group #2 timing in 14th fast for a 5th place start in heat #5. Chris finished 5th and failed to transfer to the A-main and started 3rd in consi #3 where he still did not earn a starting spot so he took a point provisional starting 25th. Around lap #10 a car spun in front of Chris leaving no where for him to go and the result caused him to roll the car. After many laps of pit side repairs, he actually returned to the track to a standing ovation from the crowd. From there it was just run as hard as he could and gain as many points as possible for a 19th place finish. In what had to be one of the most caution and flat plagued races ever run, the team considering their luck was glad to get this one behind them. Next tentative action for Intimagator Racing will be a doubleheader LODLS weekend on 6/4 at Tazwell Speedway-Tazwell,Tn. and 6/5 at Florence Speedway-Union,Ky. "Anybody got a rabbits foot or a good luck charm that will get the bad luck bug under control"?

LUCAS OIL at 34 RACEWAY
5/24/2010......Intimagator Racing competed in a 40 car Lucas Oil sanctioned 50 lap event at 34 Raceway-Burlington,Iowa. Chris was 4th fast in group #2 and started on the outside pole for heat #4 and finished 2nd for an 8th place feature start. From there i am sure the team wishes they had the nite to do over as plans did not go as planned. Chris steadily lost positions and spun out on lap 25 to tag the rear. The best he could manage was an 18th place feature finish. This race was an especially hard pill to swallow as Chris lost 2 positions in the Lucas Oil national points dropping from 5th to 7th. Things are kinda down with spinouts in 3 consectutive races that have really hurt his finishing positions and cost him losses of valuable points. The mark of a good race team is how they overcome adversity and the team will hope to rebound at this weekends Show Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway-Wheatland,Mo.....
-
LUCAS OIL at LASALLE SPEEDWAY
5/23/2010......48 cars signed in and were divided into 2 groups for qualifying. The gatorman timed in 8th in group #1 for a 4th place heat #2 start. On a less than desirable very soggy track that saw 14 cautions in heat races only, Chris spun out and tagged the rear and finished 7th to go to consi #1. He had better luck in the consi finishing 2nd for a 19th place feature start. When the 50 laps were completed Chris had only advanced 4 positions for a 15th place feature finish. The team will make the haul today to 34 Raceway in Burlington,Iowa to make up Fridays rain out.

LUCAS OIL AT WYTHE RACEWAY
5/16/2010.....Intimagator Racing made the long haul from Springfield,La for their first visit to Wythe Raceway at Rural Retreat,Va. for a LODLS event. Under threatening skies 44 cars signed in for qualifying. When the timing was completed on the 1/2 mile facility, Chris had won his 5th fast time award of the year and had averaged over 106mph being the only car to break the 17 second barrier. A pole for heat #1 was looking good as the Gatorman lead the first 4 laps but spun and tagged the rear to eventually finish 7th. A 5th place start and a 1st lap 5 car incident moved him to a last place start in the B-main that yielded a 4th so it was off to provisional land and a 24th place feature start. Chris made the best of his chance and came from 24th to finish 10th and also capture the Hard Charger award......Next scheduled action will be another long road trip on May 21 to 34 Raceway-Burlington,Iowa and back down to Lasalle Speedway-Lasalle,Illinois on May 22nd.

LADY LUCK FROWNED AT BLUEGRASS
5/9/2010....A very healthy field of 40 cars signed in for the World of Outlaw event at Bluegrass Speedway-Bardstown,Kentucky. Chris continued his impressive 2010 qualifying with a 6th fastest time and an outside pole for heat #2.Optimism quickly ended as on the drop of the green flag in turn 1 the inside pole car came up the track and tore a good portion of the Intimagator's front cap off. Chris was delegated to a last place finish and the crew quickly replaced the front cap for B-main #1. The gatorman hammered the Wall2Wall powered Stuckeys MaterSbilt all the way from last to a 4th place finish but that was 1 spot short of a transfer.Provisionals were given to 2 WoO drivers and 2 local drivers so the nite was over for Intimagator Racing.Racers never want to have a nite like this but they know it's gonna happen and just shake it off and get prepared for the next event. Fortunately this event was not a LODLS race and that is about the only bright side of the nite. Next scheduled action for the team will be back in the LODLS with a 5/15/2010 event at Wythe Raceway-Rural Retreat,Virginia. Chris sits 5th in Lucas points and has a comfortable lead in the Rookie of the Year standings......

4/24/2010.......66 cars signed in for the 50 lap LODLS sanctioned event at Bedford Speedway.A very stout field that included non Lucas points racers like Mars,Birkhoffer,Richards,Clanton, etc were divided into 2 groups for qualifying on the large 1/2 mile track. Chris was 4th fast in group #2 for an outside pole in heat #4 where he finished 3rd for a 14th place feature start. Track conditions were virtually unpassable as the Hard Charger award winner came from 26th to 20th so you get the message.Chris did manage a 10th place finish and more importantly got a little breathing room in 5th place in the points race. When chasing points a racer has to look at the big picture and realize that just making the show and every position that he gains or loses in the feature counts. This was the 1st visit for Intimagator Racing to the Bedford,Pennsylvania facility and they are all smiles after last nites 10th place finish especially with a loaded field of drivers. Tonite is scheduled for Hagerstown Speedway,Maryland but the weather situation is looking very "iffy".

SAS at CLAYHILL
4/18/2010.....A slim field of 20 cars signed in for the SAS sanctioned $7500 to win event. The cars had 2 laps of qualifying with no lock ins.Chris won heat #1 for a feature pole. After a good 3 way battle with Dane Dacus and Wendell Wallace, the gatorman brought home a very respectable 2nd place finish in his 1st time visit to the track. Lucas Oil points racing resumes next weekend and the crew will be making a long east coast trip to Bedford Speedway-Bedford Pa. on 4/23 and on to Hagerstown Speedway-Hagerstown,Md on 4/24.

SCHEDULE REMINDER-CLAYHILL
4/14/2010.....Just a reminder that the Intimagator Race Team will be competing in the $7500 to win SAS event at Clayhill Speedway in Tennessee on 4/16. Chris had planned on running the Commonwealth 100 but changed his plans after his daughter Christen made it out the regional gymnastics competition in Louisiana and will be competing at Tupelo,Ms. this weekend. The gatorman will hopefully be able to see Christen's competition and also get a race in on the same weekend.

WEEKEND OFF and A FEW TIDBITS
4/7/2010..... Since this is scheduled to be an off weekend for the Intimagator Race team, i want to share just a few tidbits of info about the Chris Wall family. Not only is Chris a very accomplished dirt latemodel racer, but he is also an avid hunter as evident by purchasing hunting land in the midwest.C & M Gator Farm is the main income source for the Wall family. The alligator process starts from harvesting the eggs in alligator nests in the marshes and incubating them until they hatch. The baby gators are placed in a controlled environment in concrete pits and fed just like other animals until they reach a length of about 3 feet. The gators are then processed for both the meat and the hides. Last year was a very lean year in the alligator business due to the struggling economy and the Wall family did not process any gators at all as agreed to by most gator farmers in Louisiana in order to give the market a better chance to recoup for this year. Chris is the proud father of a son Ranger who helps the race team on weekends and is actively involved in FFA where he has won competitions and also daughter Christen who is a very accomplished gymnist. And then there is wife Missy who not only helps on the race team crew and runs the business end of the race team but also has to keep up with the active life style of the other members of the Wall family.Through all the activities of the racing and the childrens events, Chris still finds time to be actively involved in church when he is not on the road attending a racing event.....As webmaster for Intimagator Racing i am very proud to be associated with an accomplished dirt latemodel race team but also just as proud to be able call the Wall family friends.

SUPR at PIKE COUNTY SPEEDWAY
4/4/2010.......21 cars signed in with only 19 starting the SUPR feature at Pike County Speedway. Chris won his heat and started the feature on the outside pole. From the start of the race it was obvious who would be the car to beat. After a caution plagued event that saw 6 cautions and only 8 cars finish the race, the gatorman made it a weekend sweep picking up his 3rd victory of the 2010 season. The Intimagator Race Team race is scheduled to take next weekend off and if anything changes i will post it.Get well wishes to crew chief Darryl Posey who was ill last nite and could not make the call.

SUPR at BATON ROUGE RACEWAY
4/3/2010.....It is always good to get an off weekend from a national touring series and be able race at a local track. The Intimagator Race Team set their sights on the SUPR sanctioned 40 lap event at Baton Rouge Raceway. 28 cars signed in and were divided into 3 groups for heats with heat starting positions decided by the draw and passing points used for feature start positions.Chris started on the outside pole in heat #3 and cruised to the win and earned a 3rd place start for the feature. Within the first 2 laps the gatorman had already taken the lead and by lap 10 had reached lapped traffic. Hard charging Rob Litton was pushing his Wall2Wall powered ride and surprised Chris with an outside pass to take the lead. Chris used a calm head and followed for a few laps before retaking the lead and then put on a passing clinic lapping all the way back up to 5th place and winning by a 6 second margin. This was the 10th SUPR victory for Chris and his 4th at Baton Rouge Raceway.Noticeably missing last nite was the C28 of Kenny Merchant who was under the weather and get well wishes are in order for the "Gentle Giant". Tonite action shifts to Pike County Speedway for a 50 lap SUPR sanctioned race.

LUCAS OIL at BROWNSTOWN SPEEDWAY
3/28/2010....61 cars signed in for the LODLS sponsored Indiana Icebreaker at Brownstown Speedway. The Intimagator was placed in group #2 of the 2 group qualifying format with each group having 3 heat races. Chris was fast time in his group for a pole for heat #4 which he won for an outside feature pole. From the start of the race things did not go as planned as positions were lost with an eventual 19th place feature finish. This was the race teams first visit to Brownstown Speedway and although the feature finish was disappointing, the group 2 fast time and heat #4 victory was quite an accomplishment and the team remains in the top 10 in the championship points standings. Next tentative action for Intimagator Racing will give them a break from the long travel as they will be competing in regional action on April 2nd at Baton Rouge Raceway and April 3rd at Pike County Speedway in a SUPR sanctioned doubleheader......

SCHEDULE UPDATES
3/23/2010.....Several dates in the April schedule have been updated including the weekends of [4/2-3],[4/9-10], and [4/16-17].Chris had originally scheduled the WOO sanctioned Commonwelth 100 at Virginia Motor Speedway on April 16th and 17th. The gatorman's daughter Christen made it out of state competition in gymnastics and will be competing on April 16th in regional competition and as any good father would,Chris wants to attend. He will be running a $7500 to win SAS event at Clayhill Speedway on 4/17 instead.

CLEVELAND SPEEDWAY SAS
3/21/2010......The Intimagator Race team continued their Southern All Stars weekend swing with a $10,000 to win event at Cleveland Speedway. Chris turned the 4th fastest qualifying time and was placed in heat #1. After some serious racing with overall fast time and pole sitter Ray Cook, the gatorman took the win for a feature pole. As it goes in racing some times unfortunately the outside lane was fastest and before Chris could work his way up the track,he was back in 5th place. Competition was good but a choice of hard tires hampered him the most as he finally passed Chris Madden for a 4th place finish.....Lucas Oil action will resume on March 27th as the crew will make the long haul to Brownstown Speedway in Indiana for points action. Special thanks to all the race fans on the recent weekend swing for their courteous words and encouragement......

UNLUCKY at BOYD'S
3/20/2010.....40 cars signed in at the SAS $4000 to win event at Boyd's Speedway. SAS format locked the 10 fastest qualifyers. Chris turned the 3rd fastest time and started the feature in 3rd place. At the drop of the green the gatorman hammered the Wall2Wall powered Stuckeys MasterSbilt. The momentum was a little too much as Chris ran up under the leader and had to spin out to keep from tearing the leader up and unfortunately good friend and fellow Wall2Wall engine runner Anthony Burroughs was caught up in it also ending his nite. Chris tagged the rear and put the hammer down and salvaged a 5th place finish.Tonite action shifts to Cleveland Speedway for another SAS sanctioned event.

P.R.O. SUPER LATE MODELS AT COLUMBUS
.....Rain changed the Intimagator Racing teams plans as both Boyd's Speedway on Friday nite and Cleveland Speedway on Saturday nite were cancelled. Chris made a last minute decision to head to Columbus Speedway for the premiere P.R.O. race. 38 supers signed in and were divided into 3 groups for qualifying with the gatorman in the 2nd group. Chris was 3rd fast in his group with only the top 2 qualifiers locking into. A inside pole for B-main #2 led to a 2nd place finish and an 11th place feature start for the 40 lapper. By lap 15 Chris had moved into 2nd and from there to the checkers it was a dog fight with Bub McCool and Ronnie Lee Hollingsworth with the gatorman taking his 1st victory of 2010.....Next weeks schedule as of now is uncertain as Chris may run the 2 S.A.S. rescheduled rainouts at Boyd's and Cleveland. I will update as soon as i get word from the Walls.....

LUCAS at CHEROKEE
3/7/2010....44 cars qualified at the $10,000 to win Lucas Oil sanctioned event. When the timing was done the ole gatorman had won the pole award. Unfortunately he spun a 3 invert for a 3rd place start in heat #3. Chris logged a 3rd place heat finish after running 2nd for some laps. Feature time came and Chris worked his way from 10th to 3rd and even was in a 3 way battle for the lead before dropping back in the late stages for a very good 6th place finish.Next scheduled action for Intimagator Racing will be a SAS doubleheader at Boyd's Speedway and Cleveland Speedway on 3/12 and 3/13.
-
LUCAS at BULLS GAP
3/6/2010.....43 cars timed in for the $10,000 to win Lucas Oil sanctioned race at Volunteer Speedway-Bulls Gap,TN. Chris was in group #2 and timed in 11th fast for a 6th place start in heat #1. The gatorman finished 4th in his heat for a 13th place feature start. On a very locked down track Chris brought home a 12th place finish and the team will make the haul to Cherokee Super Speedway-Gaffney,S.C. for a Sunday Lucas Oil sanctioned $10,000 to win event. Updates will be provided when i receive them.

BAMA BASH WAS A CLASSIC
3/1/2010.....54 cars signed in for the S.R.R.S. sanctioned Bama Bash. The cars were divided into 5 groups for qualifying. Chris was 3rd quick in group #5 and 4th quick overall. Fast qualifying time came out of group #5 so that group ran the first heat race Saturday nite with the gatorman starting 3rd and finishing 2nd for a 6th place feature start Sunday nite. Chris had already moved into 2nd place by lap 12 of the 75 lap race and had run the leader down for an unbelievable last 20 lap shootout. The 2 cars sliced and diced lapped traffic with Chris on the bottom and the leader on the top. In what was described as a classic battle the cars ran virtually side by side for 20 laps. Chris could not make a pass stick to maintain the lead and crossed under the checkered flag with a 2nd place finish. Congrats to Ray Cook and crew on a great victory. Next scheduled action for Intimagator Racing will be a doubleheader LODLS at Volunteer Speedway-Bulls Gap,Tn. on March 6th and at Cherokee Super Speedway-Gaffney,S.C. on March 7th.

EASTBAY NITE #6
2/6/10......Crew members of the Intimagator Race Team done another excellent job of preparing a race car for tonites final of the 6 race Dart Lucas Oil Winternationals. 49 cars once again signed in and not only did Chris set fast time for the 3rd time this week to go along with 2-2nd fast but he also set a new track qualifying record. The nite was looking good as the Gatorman also spun a 1 invert for a pole in heat #1 that he also won for a feature inside pole start. I am not a racing expert so i have no clue as to why Chris went backwards and ended up finishing 11th. This sounds more negative than it really is for when you make all 6 nites of races against most of the best in the country and have the week qualifying that Chris did, the future looks real bright this season for the Intimagator Race Team in the Lucas Oil points chase. The last 3 races points will be added together and averaged into 1 race to start the regular season so considering that he came out of Eastbay 7th in points and many racers that will start higher than Chris are not Lucas regulars so he will be in great shape to start the season. Congrats to Chris,Missy,Darrel, and Corey for having a very successful start to the 2010 season. Special thanks to MasterSbilt,Ronnie Stuckey,Ronnie Rogers/Wall2Wall Performance Engines and all gracious sponsors for making the dream come true.I am not exactly sure what the next tentative race is but will update the schedule as soon as i get word from the Wall camp.

EASTBAY DAY #5
2/6/10.....Friday nites events were washed out and the event was run on Saturday afternoon as part of a doubleheader.49 cars signed in for the afternoon event. Chris finally broke his streak of 4 consectutive top 2 qualifying efforts but was still quick enough for a 2nd quick time in group #2 and an outside pole in heat #4. Nothing much was different in todays heat as Chris finished 4th for a 16th place feature start. When the dust had cleared 50 laps later the Intimagator brought home a respectable 11th place finish.....
-
EASTBAY NITE #4
2/5/2009.....57 cars signed in for nite #4 of the Winternationals and were divided into 2 groups for qualifiyng with 6 heat races on the card taking the top 3 finishers from each for the A-main.Chris drew a 1 for qualifying and was first car on the track. This did not seem to phase him as he set fast time and was only about .010 of a second from the track record. A 2 was spun on the invert wheel giving him an outside front row for heat #1. This heat race was not much different than others as he had to take evasive action on the start and got into the loose berm losing several positions. When the checkerd had fallen Chris had logged a 5th that would put him way back in the consi. The race team knew they had a guaranteed starting spot with the fast time award and gambled on some setup changes that did not seem to work The gatorman started 25th in the 26 car field and 40 laps later crossed under the checkers in 15th. This may not seem like a real good finish but considering this was the first Lucas points race and drew some very stiff competition, the team was thankful and will focus on race #5 tonite and try to keep the qualifing streak [2-fast times and 2-2nd fast times] and the race streak[ made all 4 features so far] in place for the 6 event format.....
-
EASTBAY NITE #3
2/4/10..... The consistency in qualifying continued for Wall and Company on nite #3 of the Lucas Oil Winternationals. Chris was fastest in group #2 for an outside 3rd heat pole as a 2 invert was spun by the fastest qualifyer.A 2nd place finish was recorded in the heat for a 6th place feature start. There is not much more recap i can give as the car on the inside of the track shot up in front of Chris on the drop of the feature green and Chris could not miss him and hit him in the rear left corner spinning around on the track. All the cars are hammer down on the drop of the green and when the wreckin had stopped, the Gatorman's car was badly mangled and he was done for the nite with zero laps completed.Later inspection in the pits showed a damaged front clip so the chassis is finished for the week and now there is no backup available.I was asked by the Walls to be objective in my report and not too point any fingers. About as objective as i can be is by stating: "a race is not won on the drop of the green on the first lap. It is pretty apparent that a car on the outside of a racer in the 3rd row did not get there by sleeping at the wheel. When you got 30 laps to go why slingshot from the bottom to the top of the track at the drop of the green with no respect for the car beside you? If the move works fine but if not there are a lot of cars behind you that will be caught up in the melee'. Chris cut hard left to try to avoid the other racers rear end but not soon enough. The result was another disappointing nite and more important very costly damage to a chassis." Hopefully tonite the Intimagator Race Team will have their primary engine back in the primary chassis and will give it another run.

EASTBAY NITE #2
2/3/10..... Most racers figured it was gonna be a wild nite at EastBay Raceway for nite #2 of the Winternationals. A reported 2 inches of rain drenched the Gibsonton,Fl. area Tuesday. Race track prep crews worked for hours to try to achieve a raceable surface. Racers were very disappointed in the surface but it was one of those deals where the prep crew done their best or the event woulda been called. 43 cars signed in and contrary to being the 2nd car to time in on Monday nite, Chris was in the last 10 or so cars to qualify with the backup car. Amazingly he was quick time until the very last qualifyer beat his time by around .018 of a second. Chris was in the 2nd group and after a 1 was spun for the 2nd nite in a row putting him on the pole for heat #4. The outside row was once again the fastest but Chris never gave up hope and put on a furious battle with side by side racing but could not make the pass and settled for a 2nd place heat finish and an 8th place feature start. In a race that basically had only a high groove, the attrition was was high and only about a 3rd of the field finished the feature. Chris was making a pass on the inside and hit a slime spot and shot up the track right in front of another racer but fortunately none or only minor contact was made but the Gatorman had to tag the rear. When the mud quit flying Chris had finished a repectable 6th place. Already today Owens,Pearson,Neat, and Francis have joined the EastBay pits. Both Babb and Bloomquist are running backup cars tonite.......The following is an editorial opinion of mine and does not reflect the thoughts or actions of Intimagator Racing.... Racers take a whole lot of pride in their racing operations as most have around a quarter of a million dollars of equipment including toter homes etc. Emotions run very high as they should. But contrary to the constant bickering on the racin message boards, racers have and show a lot more respect for one another than the race fans do. I talked with Missy Wall today and she said Chris had been visting other racers picking their brains especially Bloomquist and Moyer whom race fans would have people to believe are mortal enemies of Chris.I know for a fact that a few years ago Bloomquist bolted on some of Chris' American Racer tires at Columbus Speedway and tested with them. Moyer experimented with a Wall2Wall spec engine and actually won the 2008 Cotton Pickin 100 with one. So the next time race fans want to just start some internet trash about wars between certain racers chances are it is not no where close to being as bad as they make it out to be. Whether a racer likes or dislikes another racer there is still mutual respect between them and it's a shame race fans cannot have the same......

EASTBAY NITE #1
2/2/10......The Intimagator Race Team started the 2010 season at the Lucas Oil Winternationals at Eastbay Raceway.43 cars signed in for nite #1 action and when qualifying was done, Chris had garnered fast time. He proceeded to spin a 1 on the invert wheel for a heat #1 pole. After a quite long rain delay the action finally kicked off. The outside pole in heat #1 as in all the other heats was the fastest on the start and the Gator man held off some serious challenges for a 2nd in the heat and a 5th place feature start. From there it was a quick nite as on lap #9 Chris was blowing smoke and retired to the pits.A preliminary inspection showed hopefully no major internal damage but probably a burnt piston. Acrew member left Eastbay at 1am heading back on the 700 mile trip back to Wall2Wall Performance Engines. The backup car will be utilized for the next 2 races as these are non points evevents and plans are to have the freshened engine back in time for Thursdays Lucas Oil points race. More updates will be given as the week progresses.

INTIMAGATOR RACING PREPARES FOR DART WINTERNATIONALS
1/23/10...Chris Wall and the Intimagator Race Team will kick off the 2010 season with the 1400 mile round trip to the Lucas Oil sanctioned 34th Annual Dart Winternationals. The team had some very good runs in 2009 at this week long 6 race format with starts in 3 out of 6 A-mains with the highlight being a 5th place finish in the last event of the week. This trip should be a good stepping stone for preparing the Intimagator Race Team for their 2010 41 event run for the Lucas Oil Rookie of the Year title.....
